COVID-19 Updates

Viking Manor continues to follow all Minnesota Department of Health, CDC and CMS guidelines for healthcare facilities and healthcare workers. There are no restrictions on visiting with our residents at this time. But there are yet risks associated with visitation and COVID-19 and we want to make it clear that there are those potential risks of exposures when coming in for visits and how important good infection control techniques are to be followed closely in our building during the visits.

 

We continue to ask that all visitors comply with our guidelines in place:

  • Required to complete the screening process when enter building.

  • Required to wear a well-fitting face covering.

  • Follow the physical distancing requirements from other residents and employees in the facility.

  • All visitors will not be allowed to walk through the facility during their visit, we are still to limit the movement in the facility, so we ask you go to the visiting space and visit there the entire visit.

  • If you are not feeling well, please refrain from visiting until you are feeling better.

  • We offer rapid antigen COVID-19 tests if you would like to be tested prior to your visit, as this can help prevent the spread of COVID-19.

  • We ask that you follow good infection control (wash or sanitize your hands upon entering, during your visit and when you leave your visit)

  • We would like to encourage all the visitors that have not been vaccinated to receive the COVID vaccine, if I you would like more information on this, I would be happy to assist.

  • No visitors in the dining room during meals.

  • Visitors that are fully vaccinated are able to attend activities as before, we ask that you please wear your mask.

 

Thank you for being partners with us in fighting this COVID-19 virus. I am very grateful that all of our residents, families and friends have been very understanding these past couple of years. We continue to keep everyone safe and healthy as we can. I truly appreciate your patience and prayers as we continue to move through this pandemic.
